Andrea D. Green, MD

Dr. Andrea Green Hines is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at UNMC in Omaha, Nebraska.  She received a BS of Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2002.  She received her MD from UNMC in 2006 and completed her Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at UNMC in 2010.  She then went on to complete a four year combined adult and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at UNMC in 2014.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Adult Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.  Dr. Green Hines is the Program Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program and Medical Director of Children’s Nebraska's Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.  She is also a volunteer physician at the Pediatric Tuberculosis Clinic at OneWorld Community Health Centers in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Green Hines has research interests in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and quality improvement.  She serves on the Children’s Nebraska's Infection Control Committee and the University of Nebraska Medical Center Infection Control Committee.
