Developmental Medicine
The Division of Developmental Medicine educates developmental and behavioral pediatricians to be leaders in their field, recognized for patient care, teaching and research. Learning opportunities consist of interaction with committed faculty, a broad clinical experience, and research opportunities collaborating with various disciplines. Expertise in the division includes prenatal consultation through the Fetal Care Center, infant and toddler development, autism, spina bifida, down syndrome and a wide range of other behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders. These are addressed through the spectrum of care with a focus on safe transitions across the lifespan. The section is located within Children's Nebraska and has clinical and educational opportunities at the Monroe-Meyer Institute and Association of University Centers on Disabilities Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Program.
