Michael Facciolo, MD
Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, UNMC

Aside from my clinical work of always striving to provide exceptional critical care to critically ill and injured patients and compassionate care for their families, my primary interests are within the realms of simulation and education. Through my interest in these domains, I believe I will empower medical learners of all levels to broaden and deepen their clinical acumen as well as develop the necessary interprofessional and patient-facing communication skills to excel throughout their careers.
My additional clinical interests include pediatric acute respiratory distress syndrome, catecholamine-refractory vasoplegic shock, and extracorporeal organ support systems. The intersection of these clinical interests with my primary interests in education and simulation provides ample opportunity for novel educational experiences with medical learners.
