Assistant Professor, UNMC Division of Critical Care
Medical Director for Complex Care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Children’s Nebraska

Dr. Elizabeth Bleed
I am first and foremost a pediatric intensivist, with the goal of providing the best care possible to each child and family under my care. I am particularly interested in the intersection of chronic illness and medical complexity and the pediatric ICU. My goal is to advocate for these highly vulnerable patients and their families, and to create systems that enable us to provide the unique type of care they need to succeed in the ICU environment. I apply a bioethics lens to this work as well. I am also interested in how healthcare systems can promote provider wellness and resilience
