Cardiology
The vibrant culture of the Division of Cardiology is dedicated to the vision, values and collaborations necessary to achieve optimal results, safety, quality and exceptional patient, learner and staff experiences in the care for patients with congenital heart disease.
Our faculty work closely with education leaders within UNMC and Children's Nebraska to optimize resident and medical school education in pediatric cardiovascular diseases.
Our staff are deeply involved in the community as board members for parent and family support organizations, sponsor charity events, volunteer to work residential camps for patients and participate in educational and clinical mission trips to help people in need around the world including, Africa and Central America.
As a learner in our division, you will work in our dedicated variable acuity Cardiac Care Unit at Children's Nebraska. This facility allows us to care for all our patients in one location, regardless of the complexity of the disease.
Engaged in discovery and innovation, our faculty are heavily involved in local, national, and international research, and we participate in numerous national registries such as the IMPACT Registry and the National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative. Our faculty actively are active proponents of learners and their research efforts.
