Nebraska Medicine
Nebraska Medicine is a founding member of The Midwest & Omaha Congenital Heart and Aortopathy (MOCHA) program, the only program in the region dedicated to treating adolescents and adults with congenital heart defects and diseases of the aorta. It is a collaborative approach to healthcare, with the support of Nebraska Medicine, UNMC and Children’s Nebraska, with specialty-trained physicians forming a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care. Our team works closely with the pediatric cardiologists at Children’s Nebraska, and in the region, on the patient’s transition of healthcare from childhood into adulthood.
Children's Nebraska
Dr. C.C. and Mable L. Criss Heart Center
In partnership with Nebraska Medicine, Children’s is home to the region’s only Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program. Our ACHD program is accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association and was the first in the nation to achieve reaccreditation.
Our ACHD-trained physicians and specialists provide advanced imaging techniques, interventional catheterization and surgical procedures, transition support from pediatrics to adult care, and high-risk pregnancy care for mothers with congenital heart disease.
