Allison Cushman-Vokoun MD, PhD, is a professor in the UNMC Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, where she has guided the growth and enhancement of the Nebraska Medicine Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory in order to assist in the delivery of precision medicine to cancer care.
She also has focused on the education of students, residents and fellows in molecular medicine. She is active in directing the pathology residency program's molecular rotations and serving as program director of UNMC's ACGME-accredited Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship Program, which she started in 2015. She also serves as associate director of the UNMC MD-PhD Scholars Program.
