Postdoctoral Training
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology is committed to providing a postdoctoral training experience that streamlines the development of independent research programs in health-related fields with an emphasis on cancer, immunology, and infectious diseases. The highly collaborative environment in the department combined with the availability of state-of-the-art technology allows for maximum productivity and provides well-rounded training in preparation for careers in academic, industrial, and clinical research settings. Typically, our department hosts 10-12 trainees in any given year, and here is a current list of our postdoctoral research associates.
To view postdoctoral positions that are currently available, please view the UNMC Human Resources site. Applications are only accepted through these posted positions. The Office of Postdoctoral Education is a wonderful resource - see below. If you have questions or would like to learn more about our department, please contact Molly Hadan.
Pathometabolism Training Program
We have a specialized Training in Pathometabolism program in which postdoctoral trainees in the program are encouraged to take courses in Bacterial Metabolism, Bacterial Genetics, Immunology, and Cell Biology of Infection. There are also opportunities to sign up for courses in Bioinformatics and Statistics in Biological Research.
