Subspecialties
Our orthopaedic surgery residents must complete one or more rotations on the following nine subspecialties. We are fortunate to have fellowship-trained faculty in each subspecialty who can provide in-depth education to the residents and students.
Adult Reconstruction – Evaluate and manage joint conditions, primarily in the hip and knee.
Foot and Ankle – Evaluate and manage conditions in this musculoskeletal area, like plantar fasciitis.
Hand and Wrist – Evaluate and manage conditions in this musculoskeletal area like carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome.
Orthopaedic Oncology – Evaluate and manage benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors.
Pediatric Orthopaedics – Evaluate and manage musculoskeletal issues in infants, children, and adolescents.
Shoulder and Elbow – Evaluate and manages conditions in this musculoskeletal area like rotator cuff tears.
Spine – Evaluate and manage conditions in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
Sports Medicine – Evaluate and manage sport-related injuries to help athletes return to their sports as quickly as possible.
Trauma – The emergency evaluation, treatment, and long-term follow-up of fractures, dislocation, and other musculoskeletal injuries
