Call Schedule

The On-Call schedule can fluctuate, but usually, it’s not more than every fourth night at Children’s Hospital. At UNMC, we have a weekday night float call system, and 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd-year residents take daytime and weekend first call. 4^th and 5^th-year residents take back-up call, which averages seven days per month.
