American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy

Membership in this group provides the residents with access to a gynecological surgery video library, a journal, a discussion group, a newsletter, and special interest groups.

The resources this organization provides are practice guidelines, educational materials for patients, practice management, career support, and women's health advocacy.

da Vinci Robotic Surgery

da Vinci Surgery provides online modules and exercises on their robotic simulator at no cost to the department. We have developed a curriculum for the residents to follow so they could receive a robotic surgery certification by the time they graduate from the program.

Department Intranet

We have developed a robust intranet site that has lecture archives, reading checklists, research templates, quick links, and it has a search feature. The intranet is available to UNMC faculty, staff and students.

TrueLearn Medical Exam Prep

The residents are provided with a subscription to TrueLearn so they can study for the annual CREOG exam. The question bank has over 1,000 practice questions, content is refreshed yearly, detailed explanations are given to each question which helps to reinforce learning, and it helps to create focused study times. TrueLearn also has study preparation for the ABOG exam that the residents take after they graduate from the program.

The first-year residents have access to the ultrasound program SonoSim, which offers a comprehensive online learning system and hands-on practice with their SonoSimulator.
