Digital Navigation Training

Using apps in clinical care may seem relatively straightforward, but there are several aspects that play into using apps effectively and safely. Our team has adapted a Digital Navigator Training originally developed by Wisniewski et al. ¹ to meet the needs of using mobile apps in the integrated environment.

 Our team has explored the use of Digital Navigation Training (DNT) among Behavioral Health Providers working in Integrated Primary Care clinics. Notably the DNT training helped to increase confidence, digital literacy, patient engagement among other areas pertinent to mobile app use in this environment noted here in this diagram:
