Qualitative Lab brings Hermeneutic Institute to Omaha for Summer 2024

Roxanne Vandermause, PhD, UNMC College of Nursing professor, hosted Dr. Kirsten Jacobson, PhD, Professor of Philosophy from the University of Maine, for the 2024 Institute for Hermeneutic Phenomenology, July 17th to July 20th.

The Hermeneutic Phenomenological Institute, established in 1994 by Nancy Diekelmann has offered summer workshops since that time, rotating academic locations and hosting a variety of Continental philosophers on various topics. It is a venue for philosophical discussion, consultation regarding hermeneutic phenomenological methods, and a venue for peer-reviewed presentations. The Institute, currently held in Omaha, Nebraska, is an in-person 3-day workshop offered through CENTRIC and is tuition-based.
