Industry & Innovation Core

The Industry and Innovation Core provides expertise and mentoring to Center members interested in using or developing technology for conduct of research on prevention and self-management of chronic illness.

Goals:

Provide guidance/navigation to Center members on resources regarding patents, intellectual property, copyright, trademark of their intervention or device
Advise on working with entities who own the intellectual property on devices and pharmaceutical companies
Inform members of opportunities SBIR and STTR and other grant opportunities for small business
With the Research & Scholarship Core engage members and recruit speakers for education in research using technology
Initiate scholarship on methods and lessons learned in engaging with industry and best practices for use of technology in research on prevention and self-management of chronic illness
