Academic Success Coaching

The College of Nursing offers academic success coaching at each of our five divisions as well as for our online RN-BSN and graduate students. An Academic Success Coordinator (ASC) is available to help you find success during your time in the College of Nursing.

Success will look different for each student. Our Coordinators use a holistic approach when working with students to create individualized plans for success. You can meet with your ASC for assistance with academics such as: study skills, test taking strategies, school/life balance as well as navigating challenges in and out of the classroom. Your ASC is a go-to person on your campus for anything and everything related to your being successful at UNMC.

About the Team:

The Academic Success Coordinators at the College of Nursing have a combined 55+ years of working in higher education. Your team of ASCs has a wide range of education and experiences including master’s degrees in higher education and counseling, certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Life Coaching, professional and provisionals licenses for counseling as well as several years of experience teaching college success classes, managing tutoring and supplemental instruction programs, career advising and exploration and much more.
