Music as Medicine strikes a chord

Nearly 150 people welcomed members of the Omaha Chamber Music Society Thursday as they performed the first concert in the monthly “Music as Medicine” series in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium.

Visiting nurse scholar on campus Oct. 28-29

The UNMC College of Nursing and The Nebraska Medical Center will host Joanne Hickey, Ph.D., as its 15th Visiting Nurse Scholar, Oct. 28-29. Dr. Hickey is division head of acute and critical care and program director of the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist programs at the University of Texas- Houston, School of Nursing.

Robak to leave university, join Lincoln firm

Kim Robak, who has served the University of Nebraska as vice president for external affairs and corporation secretary to the Board of Regents since January 1999, has announced she will leave that post effective Dec. 1. She will join the Lincoln firm of Ruth & Mueller LLC, which represents clients before Nebraska Legislature and state agencies.
