Retired researcher, Dr. George Dubes, dies

George Dubes Sr., Ph.D., 79, of Omaha, died Nov. 13 at Immanuel Hospital after complications from two strokes. He taught microbiology at UNMC from 1964 until his retirement in the mid-1990s.

Milliken has named a 10-member committee to seek candidates for a position in the Office of the President that will provide leadership for university-wide diversity initiatives. The group will be chaired by Rubens Pamies, M.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs and graduate studies and professor of internal medicine at UNMC.

Workshop on research and education funding opportunities
