Brig. Gen. C. Thomas Yarington Jr., M.D., who started the UNMC Department of Otolaryngology in 1968, died May 30, in Seattle. He was 73.

MMI’s Anderson brother of a real space cadet
Scientists at the cytogenetics laboratory at the Munroe-Meyer Institute recently took a call from the International Space Station. … The only problem was the scientist whom the call was intended for, Kirby Anderson, wasn’t in the office. He was still in Florida as part of a vacation during which he saw his older brother, astronaut Clayton Anderson, launched into orbit on the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
