Dentistry students help with Mission of Mercy in Grand Island

More than 1,750 patients received approximately $650,000 worth of dental treatment at the Nebraska Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy event held last month in Grand Island.

Pearl Scott supported UNMC from afar

For the past 28 years, Pearl Scott consistently gave money to rural health initatives and in recent years supported the University of Nebraska Medical Center Rural Health Education Network. Upon her passing earlier this year, she earmarked another donation of $28,000. Pretty remarkable considering she was neither born in Nebraska nor did she attend the University of Nebraska.
