Dr. Miya presents manuscript at nursing ethics conference

Pam Miya, Ph.D., associate professor, UNMC College of Nursing, was one of 24 internationally recognized nurse researchers to participate in an April conference called “Nursing and Health Care Ethics: A Legacy and A Vision.” The Omaha conference brought together pioneers and noted scholars in nursing ethics.

Retired UNMC scientist/administrator, Joseph Gilmore, Ph.D., dies

A distinguished University of Nebraska Medical Center retired scientist and administrator, Joseph P. Gilmore, Ph.D., died April 24 in Tarpon Springs, Fla., due to complications of pneumonia. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., May 26, at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 16701 S St.
