Third time’s a charm

Several UNMC Physicians employees gathered at the Turner Park Health Clinic on Saturday to distribute gifts to the families of indigent patients who are seen at the clinic. It was the third-straight year clinic employees took part in the donation.

N.C. firm/UNMC partner to investigate potential new drugs

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Addrenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with UNeMed Corporation, the technology transfer arm of UNMC, giving Addrenex exclusive rights to the medical center’s library of nearly 400 compounds that target “adrenergic” receptors — docking sites on cells that react with the hormones adrenalin and noradrenalin.
