Student efforts net recycling drop-off point on campus
Thanks to efforts led by UNMC Student Senate President Jonathan Henning, a recycling drop-off point to be used by the entire Omaha community now sits near the Student Life Center.

N.C. firm/UNMC partner to investigate potential new drugs
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Addrenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with UNeMed Corporation, the technology transfer arm of UNMC, giving Addrenex exclusive rights to the medical center’s library of nearly 400 compounds that target “adrenergic” receptors — docking sites on cells that react with the hormones adrenalin and noradrenalin.
