Faculty Senate to sponsor Oct. 29 forum on ballot initiative
UNMC’s Faculty Senate will sponsor a forum on ballot initiative 424 on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The controversial initiative will change Nebraska’s constitution to prohibit the consideration of gender, race, ethnicity or national origin in public contracting, public employment and public education.

Knock-knock: Who’s there? A $14 million new nursing building
Faculty, staff and students at the UNMC College of Nursing in Omaha have waited for Wednesday to come. The anticipation was such that even pouring rain and cold winds couldn’t keep more than 100 people from gathering under a large tent for a ceremonial ground-breaking of a $14 million, 43,000-square-foot building for the college.
