AMA president-elect on campus Sept. 24
The president-elect of the American Medical Association will speak at UNMC on Wednesday, Sept. 24. John Nelson, M.D., an obstetrician-gynecologist from Salt Lake City, Utah, will speak at noon in the Wittson Hall Amphitheater, with overflow room available in Eppley Room 2009.

UNMC receives $10.6 million NIH grant to study genes in neurosensory systems
UNMC learned Monday that it has been awarded a five-year grant totaling more than $10.6 million from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study genes in neurosensory systems. The grant – the largest ever received by UNMC – was funded through the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (CoBRE) program, which is supported by the NIH.
