Potential hope for treatment of neurological, ocular diseases

A team of UNMC researchers has found that a naturally-occurring enzyme in the human brain can reduce the effects of oxidative stress on brain cells. Oxidative stress is the key factor in damage caused by epilepsy, stroke, dementia and ocular diseases.

You get to hang out with your cool older cousins at family gatherings. There’s lots of football on television. What could possibly be so stressful about the holidays?
