Amy Cannella, M.D., internal medicine-rheumatology, is one of the first people in the U.S. to use musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) for the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic disease. She was in the first cohort to take the certification exam and received her certification in May 2013.

Dr. Casey receives grant to study liver metastases in colorectal cancer
Carol Casey, Ph.D., professor, internal medicine-gastroenterology, received a two-year award from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism to study liver metastases in colorectal cancer.
She is part of a multiple primary investigator project with Peter Thomas, Ph.D., professor of surgery at Creighton University.
