This month’s spotlight videos

For the past several years, the UNMC Department of Public Relations has been creating brief one-minute videos each week for KETV (Ch. 7) in Omaha. The videos feature UNMC faculty as they answer basic questions of interest to the average viewer. The segments run on KETV’s morning newscasts on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. They also are distributed to other Nebraska TV and radio stations after they air on Ch. 7.

Jennifer Parker, M.D., associate professor, internal medicine and pediatrics, was awarded the Hirschmann Golden Apple for clinical faculty at the College of Medicine Hooding Ceremony on May 6. Dr. Parker has become known as the “Fun Friday” lecturer on the internal medicine clerkship.
