Legislative staffers tour UNMC

Away from the State Capitol, about 35 legislative staff members spent Tuesday morning participating in problem-based learning scenarios, observing a child with a feeding disorder receiving treatment and learning about the affects of alcohol on the cilia in the lungs at UNMC.

The event brought 1,200 people through the doors of Metropolitan Community College’s South Omaha campus for various screenings. It was the culmination of Bi-National Health week, which ran Oct. 15-20.
