Agreement reached with UnitedHealthcare
UNMC’s hospital partner, The Nebraska Medical Center, and UNMC Physicians have reached new agreements with UnitedHealthcare and its organ-transplant affiliate, United Resource Networks. The new agreements mean that all UnitedHealthcare customers will continue to have uninterrupted network access to affordable, quality health care services from The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians.

Dr. Sanger plays key role in stem cell research breakthrough
UNMC geneticist Warren Sanger, Ph.D., played a key role in providing the genetic testing for a major scientific breakthrough earlier this month in which scientists for the first time successfully derived embryonic stem cells by reprogramming the genetic material from skin cells while studying rhesus macaque monkeys.

Constantino to lead dentistry and pharmacy diversity efforts
Growing up in a family of educators, Anne Constantino told her mother she’d never be a teacher. Instead, she graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in psychology. After a stint at AmeriCorps, she landed a job in the very field she swore she wouldn’t enter. But that job sparked a passion. Constantino is now the diversity specialist for both the UNMC College of Pharmacy and College of Dentistry.
