Williams honored with Lifetime Achievement award
When Bud Shaw, M.D., came to UNMC in 1985 from Pittsburgh to establish the liver transplant program, he knew of no better person to bring along than Laurel Williams, R.N., M.S.N., manager of the Liver and Intestinal Coordinators Organ Transplantation Program. Earlier this year, Williams was given the Novartis Lifetime Achievement award from the North American Transplant Coordinator’s Organization.
