UNMC conducts study on breast cancer vaccine

UNMC researchers are conducting a unique vaccine trial for breast cancer patients with non-metastatic disease. Researchers believe giving the vaccine to patients at an earlier stage of cancer may produce a better chance of preventing a recurrence and cause regression of any remaining disease.

New museum chronicles College of Nursing history

With every box she opens Audrey Nelson, Ph.D., R.N., chairman of the UNMC College of Nursing and Alumni History Museum committee, gets more and more excited. Nurses and nursing students past and present will get to see these artifacts and many others with the opening of the UNMC College of Nursing and Alumni History Museum on Saturday, June 4. The museum is on the third floor of the College of Nursing.
