Dr. Oleynikov spreading the word about NOTES

Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) may be coming to an operating room near you. It would offer pain-free surgery with no incision for some of the most common abdominal surgeries, such as gallbladder and appendix removal. On Tuesday in San Diego at the Digestive Disease Week® 2008 conference, UNMC’s Dmitry Oleynikov, M.D., will be among three other surgeons presenting abstracts on various NOTES procedures.
