Dorothy Olson, one of UNMC’s top supporters, died June 30 at Brookestone Village following a battle with dementia and mobility problems. She was 88.

Funeral services were held yesterday for Shirley Dean, who died July 2 after a battle with cancer. Dean, 68, worked as a consumer and family coordinator for UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute and was a tireless advocate for people with developmental disabilities.
