Parking Services introduces new permit, renewal process

Dr. Armitage on international cancer research board

James Armitage, M.D., Shapiro Professor of Medicine and oncologist in UNMC’s Internal Medicine Department, has been named to the French Institut Nation du Cancer International Scientific Advisory Board. He is one of only six Americans selected to serve on the international board for cancer research in France.

Grant supports patient safety work in rural hospitals

For the past four years, UNMC faculty members — Katherine Jones, Ph.D.; Gary Cochran, Pharm.D.; and Keith Mueller, Ph.D. — have assisted Nebraska’s small rural hospitals in their efforts to prevent medication errors. Now, their work is being recognized nationally with a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
