Longtime UNMC supporter, Charles Durham, dies
Charles W. “Chuck” Durham, one of UNMC’s strongest supporters and most generous donors, died Saturday. He was 90. “Chuck Durham was literally a giant, not only in Nebraska, but beyond,” said UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday.

UNMC Off the Clock — Weber alters costumes for Opera Omaha
Ninety brilliantly colored costumes rest on a rack and await opening night. Before the curtain rises, Annika Weber and a team of volunteer seamstresses spend hundreds of hours hemming, mending, fitting, altering and adjusting each costume.

Basic scientist honored with teaching award
Each year, student evaluators praise Terry Hexum, Ph.D., for his teaching skills in medical pharmacology. On Thursday, the College of Medicine formally recognized his classroom abilities by honoring him with the 2007 UNMC College of Medicine and Class of 1962 Basic Science Outstanding Teacher Award.
