First Science Cafe draws quite a crowd

Students, young professionals, doctors and science teachers made up the crowd of 80 people who gathered Tuesday night inside Slowdown for Omaha’s first Science Cafe.

‘Our Heartiest Thanks!’ Donate to the Food Bank

More than 15,000 children in Douglas County don’t know where their next meal is coming from. To help alleviate that situation, UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center, UNMC Physicians, Clarkson College, Sodexo and Private Practice Associates are joining together to collect food and household items to donate to the Omaha Food Bank. The drive’s slogan is “Our Heartiest Thanks!”

‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ on campus Oct. 27

UNMC faculty, staff and students are invited to bring their lunches to the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education on Oct. 27 to enjoy Nebraska Shakespeare’s 2008 touring production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
