Week of events planned to recognize graduate, professional students

UNMC will be celebrating Graduate-Professional Students Appreciation Week next week, April 3-7.

Mayor Jean Stothert has proclaimed Graduate Professional Students Appreciation Week in Omaha, in support of the upcoming week of activities at UNMC. Mayor Stothert issued the proclamation to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of the students and the impact they have on their communities.

“Whether in the classroom, research laboratory or across all of our statewide clinical sites, our graduate and professional students are there making a difference,” said Jeffrey P. Gold, UNMC chancellor. “Because of their dedication, energy and hard work, UNMC continues to thrive and be such an effective and driven organization.

“Every day, week and month, new accolades of growth and excellence are attributed to our colleges and institutes as well as the community partners. To a very large extent, our growth and excellence is due to their hard work.”
