Wellness Through Doing to discuss houseplants

Samantha Hermann

Indoor plants provide so many benefits: Improved indoor air quality, added humidity, enhanced beauty for any room, and they even can boost people’s mental health and sense of accomplishment.

If someone wants to welcome houseplants into a home or work space and needs guidance, plan to attend the next “Wellness Through Doing: Houseplants 101.”

Samantha Hermann, Omaha digital creator and founder of “House + Plant,” will teach basic houseplant care, such as light, soil and water requirements. With some basic skills, anyone can “grow your green thumb.”

The Olson Center for Women’s Health will sponsor the virtual class on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at noon. Zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to the event.

Register through Engage, email the Olson Center or call 402-559-6345. The class has no cost to join.

We will upload the video to our Wellness Through Doing video library, probably within one day of the presentation. https://www.unmc.edu/obgyn/community/wtd.html
