Discount offered for Omaha Symphony’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’

The Omaha Symphony is offering a discount to members of the UNMC community for “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Concert,” with the Oscar-winning score by Alan Menken performed live to the film. The showings are Saturday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center.

“Beauty and the Beast” captures the magical journey of Belle (voiced by Paige O’Hara), an independent and intelligent, modern-day heroine who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voiced by Robby Benson). Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff — a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others — and ultimately learns to see beneath the beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.

The promotional code “UNMC23” offers a 20% discount to the show. The discount is valid for available seats in price levels 2-4. After a preferred show date is selected, the option “Get Tickets” will appear. Apply the promo code in the upper right-hand portion of the performance page. Prices automatically will adjust to reflect the discount. When viewing seats in a chosen section, click the “Legend” button on the right-hand side to view the seats for which the code applies (only valid on price levels 2-4).

UNMC is a sponsor of the current season of the Movie Music series.
