Reminder: Breakthrough Thinking is today

UNMC’s Breakthrough Thinking Conference Series will return today (Jan. 4) with an online presentation focused on optimizing the work environment to enhance learning and connectedness among employees.

The annual, thought-provoking series is open to all UNMC faculty, staff and students.

The event, titled “Neurodiversity, Inclusivity and the Student Experience,” will be from 11 a.m. to noon CT with Julia Cooper, director of consulting at Hok, a global design, architecture, engineering and planning firm.

A workplace strategist with more than 25 years of strategic planning and design experience, Cooper understands how to use the work environment as a strategic tool to solve organizational challenges. She studies the myriad issues companies face as they attempt to optimize the built environment and develops data-driven solutions that link design to work process, technology, HR and organizational goals.

Cooper has developed a variety of workplace typologies for clients across the U.S. and overseas. She is certified in the change management process in accordance with Prosci methodologies.
