Library to present citation manager classes

As part of Research Month, the McGoogan Health Sciences Library will present a series of educational sessions on citation managers, including RefWorks, EndNote and Zotero. Registration is not required.

Choosing a Citation Manager (Zoom link)

Dates: Oct. 10, 11 a.m.-12 p.m., and Oct. 24, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Learn more about RefWorks, EndNote, and Zotero to help choose the one that meets both project needs and long-term information management needs. The session will introduce each system, discuss benefits and drawbacks of each and suggest when someone might prefer to use one or the other.

RefWorks: Getting Started (Zoom link)

Dates: Oct. 12, 10 a.m.-11 a.m., and Oct. 26, 12 p.m.-1 p.m.

Learn how to use RefWorks to manage citations. The session will demonstrate the basics of importing and managing citations, using the Write-n-Cite feature to create in-text citations and bibliographies and customizing folders and record view. 

EndNote: Getting Started (Zoom link)

Dates: Oct. 11, 12 p.m.-1 p.m., and Oct. 25, 12 p.m.-1 p.m.

Learn how to use EndNote to manage citations. The class will demonstrate the basics of importing and managing citations, using the Cite While You Write feature to create in-text citations and bibliographies and customizing folders and record view. 

Zotero: Getting Started (Zoom link)

Dates: Oct. 13, 12 p.m.-1 p.m., and Oct. 27, 1 p.m.-2 p.m.

Learn how to use Zotero to manage citations. The session will demonstrate the basics of importing and managing citations, using the citing feature to create in-text citations and bibliographies and customizing folders and record view.
