UNMC medical students Nicole Kent of Benkelman, Nebraska, and Katie Schultis of Diller, Nebraska, will serve as UNMC Student Senate president and vice president, respectively, for the 2022-23 school year.
Both Kent and Schultis are third-year students in the UNMC College of Medicine.
Kent also will represent UNMC as a non-voting member of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.
Other Student Senate officers for 2022-23 and their hometowns are:
- Jordan Knapp of Lincoln, a first-year student in the UNMC College of Public Health serving as chief of staff; and
- Ben Bonebrake of Omaha, a third-year student in the UNMC College of Medicine serving as treasurer.
