MMI’s Silver U Award winner: Sydney Norton

The Munroe-Meyer Institute’s Silver U Award Winner for July is Sydney Norton.

Norton, who joined MMI in 2019, is a speech-language pathologist in the MMI Department of Speech-Language Pathology and works at the RiteCare Clinic in Hastings.

Norton was nominated for the award by Amy Nordness, PhD, MMI’s director of clinical services and its associate director.

In her submission, Nordness wrote that Norton has identified needs in her community and worked to bring new services to the area to meet them. Nordness said Norton leads collaboration opportunities at the MMI RiteCare Clinic in Hastings between clinicians, patients and their families and the Scottish Rite Masons, while also supporting collaboration across the RiteCare clinics in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney and Hastings.

Nordness said Norton "is devoted to supporting her clients, families, and community."

Said Nordness: "Sydney always pushes herself to learn more and re-invest in the MMI RiteCare Clinic in Hastings."
