Clinical and translational advancements in ophthalmology and visual sciences will be the focus of the annual Gifford-Truhlsen Conference.
The two-day conference will be held June 9-10 at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Thompson Alumni Center and via Zoom.
The conference will provide updates on the current management across a broad range of ophthalmic conditions including cornea, glaucoma, global blindness prevention, medical education, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular pathology, ocular surface disorders, oculoplastic, pediatric ophthalmology, retina, and visual rehabilitation.
In addition, the conference will present updates on the state-of-the-art vision science research to support collaborative opportunities to further understand disease processes and their clinical care.
The conference is intended for ophthalmologists, optometrists, residents, medical students, fellows, vision research scientists, and other eye care professionals and technicians.
Keynote speakers include Paul Chan, MD, from the University of Illinois; Richard Dix, PhD, with Georgia State University; Aaron Lee, MD, from the University of Washington; and Cecilia Lee, MD, with the University of Washington.
