Olson Center seminar to address Black maternal health

The Olson Center for Women’s Health will hold a virtual brown bag presentation on April 19 at noon on “Black Maternal Health Matters.”

Black Maternal Health Week takes place April 11-17. Andrea Jones, MD, assistant professor at the UNMD Department of Family Medicine, will present on the current state of Black maternal health. She will discuss how racism impacts pregnancy outcomes and what opportunities can be used to improve Black maternal health outcomes.

UNMC designates this live activity for 1.0 ANCC contact hour. UNMC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the health care team.
