A "Report Suspicious" button soon will be added to external email banner tags to provide employees another way to report suspicious emails to Proofpoint and Information Security.
External email banner tags are added to all external emails that Nebraska Medicine and UNMC employees receive. These banners provide information needed to determine the legitimacy of the source/sender and to better understand the inherent risk level of opening attachments that have originated from external sources.
Clicking on the "Report Suspicious" button is the same process as using the "Report Phish" button.
After emails are reported with the "Report Suspicious" or "Report Phish" button, Proofpoint and Information Security teams will analyze and investigate. Please note, users will not receive a follow up email unless Information Security needs additional information.
