The American Heart Association’s annual Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk is back in-person and will be held Saturday, May 14, at Miller’s Landing, 151 Freedom Park Road.
The walk, in its 28th year, is the association’s premier event in the community. It celebrates heart and stroke survivors, promotes physical activity and heart-heathy living and raises funds for research, advocacy and CPR training.
Today, the American Heart Association will start its citywide rally campaign to recruit 250 walkers by the end of the week.
UNMC and Nebraska Medicine are sponsors of this event and have a combined goal to raise $20,000.
