Office of inclusion starts ‘Coffee & Conversations’

The assistant vice chancellor of inclusion, Sheritta Strong, MD, invites the UNMC community to grab a cup of joe and drop in for virtual "Coffee & Conversations."

The new event will offer an informal setting for people to come together with the office of inclusion and share what’s on their minds. The first session, which will be held via Zoom, is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 a.m. Information on the event, including the Zoom link, is available online.

The sessions are open to UNMC students, staff and faculty.

"Our schedules fill up so fast, it’s important that we hold space for each other," Dr. Strong said. "We are all so busy, but I still want to be accessible. This time is intentionally held for any of us to meet a new friend, share an idea, find an empathetic ear or simply enjoy some good company. If you can't make it this week, please consider a time in the future."

The discussion is open. Dr. Strong invites people to grab a cup of brew and drop in online for a few minutes or stay for the whole 30-minute session. Find additional dates and times on the Office of Inclusion’s ENGAGE page here.

Due to COVID precautions, all "Coffee & Conversations" will be held online until further notice.
