Dr. Krueger to lead Oct. 20 webinar on laser vision correction
Ronald Krueger, MD, director of the Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute and chair of the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, will speak at the Advancing Health Laser Vision Correction webinar on Oct. 20, at 5:30 p.m. CT.
During the webinar, Dr. Krueger will answer questions about candidacy and procedure types, what to expect, your vision after surgery, recovery and more.

Food trucks on campus next week
Next week, the medical center community again will be able to grab lunch from a food truck on campus.
A different food truck will be on campus from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. north of the UNMC Ice Rink. The schedule for the week of Sept. 20 is as follows:
- Monday, Oct. 18 – ZEMOGS (Mexican food)
- Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Burning Bridges (burgers, sandwiches, chicken)
- Wednesday, Oct. 20 – La Casa
- Thursday, Oct. 21 – ZEMOGS
- Friday, Oct. 22 – Street Eats (burgers, wraps and salads)

Pharmacy students offer Medicare Part D reviews to Nebraska residents
UNMC College of Pharmacy students are hosting free Medicare Part D reviews for all Nebraska patients that qualify for Medicare. The purpose of this event is to compare Medicare Part D plans and support the patients. Seniors who qualify for Medicare and are interested in reviewing potential Medicare Part D plans will meet with students virtually or by phone call for the reviews.
Retirements announced
Mary Kay Rohrberg retired Oct. 7 after more than 46 years at UNMC.
Rohrberg, who worked in medical records, neurosurgery and transplant surgery, is the longest-tenured employee who retired in October, starting at the med center on Aug. 11, 1975. Other retirees announced this month by the department of human resources included:
