The College of Allied Health Professions has re-organized its leadership structure to make two assistant dean roles full-time positions and will launch national searches for four program directors, Dean Kyle Meyer, PhD, said.
Dr. Meyer announced that assistant dean for student affairs Amber Donnelly, PhD, and assistant dean for academic affairs Tammy Webster, PhD, recently assumed those roles full time. Drs. Donnelly and Webster’s respective former duties as program directors of cytotechnology and radiography will be filled internally on an interim basis until national searches are complete.
Maheswari "Manju" Mukherjee, PhD, is currently interim program director for cytotechnology and Alisha Wright interim program director for radiography and computed tomography.
Michael Dutt assumes the newly created position of cardiovascular interventional technology (CVIT) coordinator, taking over duties formerly carried out by Dr. Webster, with a goal of growing the program.
David Holt, director of clinical perfusion education, plans to retire Dec. 31, necessitating a national search for his replacement.
Last week, the University of Nebraska Board of Regents approved the establishment of the CAHP’s 15th profession, respiratory therapy education. A national search for its inaugural director is imminent.
